In Surah al-Asr(103:1-3), Allah, Al-Sabur (The Most Patient), in this short surah lays out a complete program for human life. Our Sustainer swears by the time at the beginning of the surah. Then Al-Sabur says that the human being is surely in loss except for some who have certain principles. These four principles of belief and faith in Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, righteous deeds, the enjoining of truth on each other and the enjoining of patience on each other.
