In Surah ale-Imran (3:148), Allah, Al-Wadud (The Loving and Beloved One), has promised that the doers of good (al-muhsinina) will receive the reward of this dunya (world) and the reward of the Hereafter which is the best reward. In the previous ayats, Allah is speaking about the Prophets and their followers and in particular about Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and the Muslims during the battle of Uhud. Those who were brave, faithful and steadfast are praised and those who deserted the Prophet and the battlefield are scorned. We are encouraged to persevere with courage and patient, seek Allah’s Help and stay faithful on His Path. The reward mentioned in the world in this ayat is victory and overcoming the enemy. Al-Hamdulillah! Al-Wadud loves the al-muhsinina.
