In Surah al-Qiyamah(75:12), Allah, Al-Jami’ (The Gatherer), tells us about al-Qiyamah (the Resurrection) in this surah. In ayat 6, the human being asks, “When is the Yaum al-Qiyamati (Day of Resurrection)?” Then Allah answers by providing some of the signs before its occurrence. Then the human being asks, “Where is the escape?”, to which Allah says there is no refuge. In this ayat #12, Al-Jami’ explains, “To your Sustainer, that Day is al-mustaqaru (the place of rest).” This blessed ayat is one of the Qur’anic ayats about “the everlasting path of human spiritual growth.” (See also 64:3, 84:6 and 53:42) Human beings are “like a traveler having departed from the bounds of non-existence for the realm of existence and is proceeding toward the Absolute and Boundless Existence of God Almighty to proceed on this path of spiritual growth everlastingly, entering different stages of closeness unto God Almighty, unless they deviate from their course, fall down, and finally perish.” From Allah to Allah.
