In Surah al-Hashr(59:21), Allah, Al-Alim (The All-Knowing), explains clearly how penetrating the Holy Qur’an is in this ayat. The previous ayats, indeed the entire Holy Qur’an, penetrate into our hearts. If Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala had sent the Holy Qur’an onto jabalin (a mountain), we would see it trembling, humbled and breaking into pieces due to fear of Al-Alim. And yet, people hear Allah’s Words in the Holy Qur’an and they’re so "stone-hearted" that they’re not affected by it. But a mountain would be rent asunder. Al-Hamdulillah!
