In Surah al-Zukhruf (43:70-71), Allah, Maliki Yaum al-Deen (Master of the Day of Judgement), in the previous ayat 68 begins His address to His abd (servants) who have lived with consciousness of Allah and faith in Him, with full belief in His Book, in submission to His Will, piously and obediently – iman (faith) and islam (submission). Ayat 70 ends Allah’s address with the believers together with their spouses being called to enter Paradise by Maliki Yaum al-Deen Himself. And He adds the word tuhbaruna (delighted) because our spouse is a source of happiness and pleasure. This word is derived from hibr which means “compose thoughts effectively” and is often used to denote the happiness and delight shown on our face. The plural “ahbar is also used to refer to scholars since they affect human societies as…Imam Ali” (peace be upon him) said: “Scholars will live to the end of the world: their persons will be lost but their works will live on in hearts.” Then the description of Paradise is given, including the circulation of plates, large vessels and cups made of gold and all that our souls desire and whatever is delicious and sweet and delights our eyes. The people of Paradise will live there forever. Al-Hamdulillah!
