In Surah al-Anbiya (21:107), Allah, Rabbil ‘Alamin (Lord of the Worlds), tells Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and us, that He “did not send him but as a Rahmatan lil’Alamina (Mercy to the Worlds).” Allah in His Mercy has sent Messengers and Prophets to us so that they can try to establish a just government here. “Whatever of the prophetic mercy will be bestowed upon the individuals both in this world and Hereafter is a ray from the Divine Mercy.” Allah sent Divine laws with punishments for crimes and rules for jihad and these are also mercies for our societies. Allah is Rabbil ‘Alamin (Sustainer of the Worlds) and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is Ramatan lil’Alamina. It is only under the shadow of Prophet Muhammad’s guidance that true training can occur. And, Al-Hamdulillah, he is the Last Prophet, the Seal of the Prophets. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) undertook the propagation of Islam which is “the cause of deliverance of the whole” worlds. It is clear to us that in the world of fitna and dhulm - mischief, corruption, oppression, injustice, war, dictators, “ignorance, impiety, treachery, vice, injustice, despotism… discrimination” – it is only Islam and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that have the merciful program to end this shaitanic environment of failures, miseries and oppression. “A mercy for all, and in the meantime, the continuation of which will lead to the faithful righteous ones’ government throughout the earth.” Inshallah.
