In Surah al-An’am (6:79), Allah, Al-Mutakabbir (The Greatest One Exalted in Might), relates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham), peace be upon him, words, that when he saw a star, the moon and the sun, he declared that they are not his Lord. He says that only Allah, Who created the Heavens and the Earth, is worthy of worship and “I have turned my face (wajhiya)to the One,” as an upright monotheist, inclining to Truth. Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, declares himself separate from those who call upon and associate others with Allah, the Greatest.
